12 Nov 2008 - The School Choir sang at the Royal Albert Hall.

On 12th November the school choir took part in the Last Night of the School Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. They all had a fantastic time and Mr Baker and Mrs Tyrrell were very proud of them.

Ellie's Grandma wrote the following letter which has been published in the Somerset County Gazette.

"My husband and I recently attended a Music for Youth school proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London . The massed choir of 500 was represented by schools from Somerset . We congratulate them on their appearance, behaviour and performance. They were a credit to their teachers and county - a brilliant evening."

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're all really proud of them.

The children were asked for comments about their experience, which they rated 4 or 5 out of 5:

“Excited, over-gushed with joy, as if I could float to the top of the Royal Albert Hall.”

“Sensational. Mum and Dad were very proud.”

“I liked listening to the other groups.”

“It was amazing, a once in a lifetime experience.”

“I felt honoured that I was asked to come and was sad that it had to come to an end.”

“I felt famous and warm all over.”
