Miss Jane Bevans is our Headteacher. She likes cats very much and has two of them. They are called George and Friday. She enjoys being a headteacher but also likes the holidays! Her favourite thing is walking along pink, sandy beaches where the only footprints are hers from yesterday. Her worst thing is trying to predict what the weather is going to do on Sports Day!

We are pleased to welcome Mrs Sophie Chubb to West Monkton this year. She teaches a class of Reception children. They are called Crocodile Class.

Miss Anne Buzzacott teaches Camel Class who are all in Year 1 or Year 2. Her favourite animal is a dog.

Mrs Sue Martin teaches Hippo Class, the other class with Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. She likes hot weather and windy days, iced ring biscuits and red wine, and she supports Everton Football Club. She dislikes worms, snakes, cold weather, being untidy and unloading the dishwasher.

Mr Nick Prinn is teacher of Buffalo Class, which contains Year 3 children. Mr Prinn is also the Key Stage Two Manager.
His favourite biscuit is a chocolate hobnob and when he grows up he wants to be a famous footballer!

We are pleased to welcome Miss Leanne Perry to our school this year. She teaches Penguin Class which is home to children from Year 4.

Mr Nigel Baker teaches Barn Owl class which is our Year 5 class. He has a Senior Teacher's role and is responsible for Every Child Matters. He is also our Science Co-ordinator and our Music Co-ordinator. His interests include music (he plays piano, church organ, violin and saxophone), Christianity and sport - he loves squash, swimming and walking. His favourite chocolates are Thornton's Continental!

Miss Nicki Elliott teaches Tortoise class which is our Year 6 class. She loves drawing and watercolour painting and, when she's feeling more energetic, swimming and running.
